4. Pilate crucified Jesus and some other leaders of the revolt. The followers were not punished, they were given a new life by the death of Jesus, John 11, 50. The faith developed: Jesus died for us, for his followers.
The followers and their families were able to begin a new life because of the death of Jesus.
5. The defeats of Jesus’ enemies after his death (in the New Testament Judas is the only example) reinforced the followers in their faith that Jesus was powerful even after his earthly death or that God saved Jesus and his followers.
