In Palestine the time of Jewish-Roman coexistence was over: the time of increasing conflicts began, which ended in the Jewish War in 66-70 CE.

In early Christianity the time of the earthly rule of the governor Jesus ended, and the time of the apostles began. Like the emperors in Rome, they believed they were in a direct relationship with the divine powers and demanded to be admired as envoys sent directly by God.
