I advocate the theoretical solution 2c: the principle of practical atheism must also apply to Biblical studies, namely

the principle that initially a solution must be sought without using the God hypothesis. To take God as a stand-by explanation for the resurrection, because Biblical studies have not found another solution, but otherwise mostly to ignore God, is not a satisfactory approach.

How we approach the areas of life that are excluded by science is an entirely different question; that is certainly a question of faith.
